Last Day First Day: TCC Episode 40regrets

Live this day as if it will be your last. Remember that you will only find “tomorrow” on the calendars of fools. Forget yesterday’s defeats, and ignore the problems of tomorrow. This is it. Doomsday. All you have. Make it the best day of your year. The saddest words you can ever utter are, “If I had my life to live over again…” Take the baton, now. Run with it! This is your day!

Last Day

I had a near death experience many years ago. My father was there to meet me before I went into the light. He told me that it wasn’t my time and I had something to do. I realized that God or the Universe wanted me to just pick something to do to make a difference in the world. It took me a minute to figure it out.

What if you discovered that you only had minutes to live and the world was coming to the end. What would you do? Who would you call?

Willhite (2000) suggested that today is the first day and the last day of the rest of your life. There are no guarantees that tomorrow will come. Why not live as though today were the last day of your life. Would you live your life more fully?

Mandino suggested that, with so little time, there is no time to hate, gossip, or fighting only time to love, encourage, or finding joy. Willhite (2000) continued that we should all be busy doing and being that we have no time for anything but accomplishing good.

How To Make Your Last Day Your First Day

  1. Step outside your comfort zone – Face a fear, make a new friend, do something uncomfortable like public speaking or starting a blog
  2. Do something spontaneous – Start that bucket list and start doing some of them
  3. Tell someone you care about or love them – Whether they be a spouse, child, or a complete stranger
