I learned long ago and constantly reminded lately that we need to always have an attitude of gratitude. Sometimes I forget to be grateful for the things I have in my life like my health, mind, ability to write and speak. I also learned about "Happy and Grateful" statements. These are goals and commands to your subconscious mind to get to work on it and make it happen. It all comes back to Napoleon Hills Think and Grow Rich, where if you conceive and believe you will achieve. Thomas Willhite put it as intention plus mechanism equals results. Either way it still boils down to create a vision in your mind, your mind will go to work to get it done.
One of my goals is to be more organized. My desk is cluttered even though I can always find stuff. So my happy and grateful statement looks like the following:
"I am so happy and grateful now that my office is clean and organized."
What was amazing was after my walk and shower, I started cleaning my desk. I could spread out my notes for my coffee business and podcast. I found some change tucked under stack of papers. That made my day. Something so simple as that made me feel better.
